  1. Intensive Training Session (knowledge sharing)
  2. Participants learn to understand the concept of sustainable development, integrated development and strategy, leadership and decentralization issues.
  3. Critical Thinking Session using Policy Case Study (analytical framework)
  4. Participants apply their knowledge of concepual framework (previous session) into the selected case study and analyze the case, followed by analyzing the case study of the respective kabupaten.
  5. Understanding the Problem and Alternative of Solutions Session (insight by site visit)
  6. Participants visit certain site(s) which has similar problems to the respective district, to study local problems and solutions, having the insight of the relevant issues in direct contact on the ground with those who involved.
  7. Meet the Innovative Leaders and Potential Donors (build network)
  8. Participants meet the experts from various field of knowledge and the innovative leaders, to learn from their experiences. At the final stage of the program, pariticipants are expected to develop Road Map Document of the new development strategy of the district, and present it to potential donors.  The experts, innovative leaders and donor community become the new network for the participants.

Learning from a case study is a quick learning process. The case study will be analyzed using conceptual framework of sustainable development and integrated development toward development strategy, to understand the problems.  This is the use of critical and conceptual thinking that will make it easy for the participants to analyze the case study. What is the financial requirement to join LID program?

YPB provides pro bono services of  LID program with the support from LEAD International as the two organizations promote sustainable development. However, YPB strongly encouraged the contribution of the district partner in the implementation of LID program to build strong ownership and commitment for the program. The joint efforts between the district partner and YPB will be formulated in the document of collaboration agreement.
